CHRISTMAS CARD SHOPPING ONLINE
As our thoughts turn to winter and the Christmas shopping that lies ahead, St Catherine?s Hospice has come to the rescue of anyone
who wants to take the stress out of buying their cards.
This year, for the first time, St Catherine?s Christmas cards are on sale online at www.stch.org.uk/christmascards. There is an
excellent selection, available in packs of 10, with styles ranging from traditional to contemporary. Prices per pack start at £2.50.
Rebecca Day, Fundraising & Marketing Director at St Catherine?s, said: ?We are delighted to be selling our Christmas cards online
this year. Many of our supporters use the internet regularly, and we?re sure that they?ll welcome the convenience of being able to
buy their Christmas cards via our website.?
??We need to raise £4.8 million through voluntary income each year and buying our Christmas cards is an easy but really valuable
way that people can make a contribution.?
St Catherine?s provides specialised end of life care for patients and their families, friends and carers in Crawley, Horsham, Mid
Sussex and South East Surrey. Since re-launching its website last year, the hospice has been keen to develop its online resources.
Visitors to the site can find out about the wide variety of services offered by St Catherine?s, book for courses run by its Education
Centre and register for fund-raising events.
St Catherine?s website has been designed by a local agency, Boxharry www.boxharry.com , which is based in Ship Street, Brighton.
Boxharry was launched in 2002 and since then the company has set up websites for a variety of organisations, ranging from
charities to media production companies. In addition to St Catherine?s, their clients include Southern Water, Legal and General and
Fremantle Media, who asked Boxharry to develop the website for this year?s Britain?s Got Talent production.
Elizabeth McLaughlin, Director of Boxharry, said: ?The launch of the online Christmas cards trading is a really exciting development
for St Catherine?s and it has been great to work with them to bring this project to fruition. During the redevelopment of their site a
year ago we packed it with as many web features as we had at our disposal; we are currently looking forward to rolling out some
very exciting additional upgrades in the near future.?
Christmas cards can also be purchased from any of St Catherine?s shops, or through placing an order by post or phone. For further
